Dr. Andres Lehtmets, most prominent expert of psychiatry from Estonia, will discuss about his areas of expertise in Pre Congress Forum and Congress Symposiums.
Andres Lehtmets received his medical degree from the Medical Faculty of Tartu University in 1988, completed post – graduate studies in Estonial Heart Centre followed by years in Tallinn Psychiatric Hospital (head psychiatrist 1992 – 1998). Since 2001 the head of the Centre of Psychiatry in West – Tallinn Central Hospital. Former member of the Committee for the Prevention of Torture and Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment at the Council of Europe (1998 – 2009). In 1999 was elected President of Estonian Medical Association. Since 2004 is the President of Estonian Psychiatric Association.
